Description
PREPARATION
Glenmorangie Bacalta whiskey matures in fine grain American oak barrels. These barrels were subjected to a toasting process. The barrels were then seasoned with Malsey, Madeira's sweetest wine, and left to toast in the sun for two years.
Glenmorangie has been making single malt whiskey since 1843, when farmer William Matheson and his wife Anne followed their dreams and founded their distillery. Its water is unusually rich in minerals, to help make the whiskey taste so wonderfully fruity. To keep this water pure, they own and protect the entire forest surrounding its source, the Tarlogie Spring. And they use the best barrels to age their spirit, sourced from all over, often even customized to your specifications to create a distinctive flavor profile.
TASTING
View:
Intense and shiny gold color.
Nose:
It contains very sweet aromas and a consistent body. Fruity and honey, vanilla, chocolate and nougat aromas.
Mouth:
Spicy, with flavors of orange, apricot, almonds and dates. Finish with an explosion of flavors on the palate, with candied orange, toffee, almonds and dates.
