Glenfarclas 26 Years Old Oloroso Sherry Cask is a lovely example of sherry that shines with notes of sweetness. Glenfarclas is still owned by the Grant family and the distillery is now run by the fifth generation of Grants. The Glenfarclas distillery pioneered a Cask Strength single malt whiskey on the market in 1964 and also opened the first visitor center at a distillery, which is open all year round. Through years of good marketing, Glenfarclas has managed to sell almost all over the world. Glenfarclas was declared “distillery of the year” in 2006.

Description
PREPARATION
This Glenfarclas malt whiskey has been aged in ex-Sherry Oloroso barrels for a period of 26 years. Special 26-year-old expression, with a silky, fruity and spicy character that goes beyond its standard range. The water used for the preparation of whiskey and the cooling water arrive through the currents of the Ben Rinnes.
TASTING
View:
Amber with dark reflections.
Nose:
Complex and refined aroma at the same time, brimming with ripe and sweet sherry, then smoky with notes of orange marmalade, honey, dried fruits and a touch of oak.
Mouth:
Full-bodied and robust. Rich flavor with aromas of sherry, ripe fruit, wood vanilla and honey. The aftertaste is fresh with a powerful influence of malted barley and a touch of dark chocolate. Intense and long, dry and malty finish.
