This exceptional rum is part of an El Dorado Versailles Special Cask Finish series of 6 strictly limited bottlings from Demerara Distillers in Guyana. The rum was distilled in 2005 in the rare Versailles wooden still, a relic of the Versailles plantation, located on the western bank of the Demerara River. This Versailles facility is the last operating wood still facility in the world.

Description
PREPARATION
Versailles Special Cask Finish rum initially matured for 8 years in selected ex-American bourbon barrels, and another 8 years for its Special Cask Finish (which in this case means "double aging") in fine French oak barrels in which it is colored ruby red. Single Quinta Port wines were previously matured in the Porto region of the Douro Valley in Portugal. Thanks to this specific barrel finish, the palate finally perceives a complex and very tasty aromatic profile.TASTING
