Description
Winemaking
Grapes: Chardonnay and Pinot Noir.
Duval-Leroy Femme de Champagne Grand Cru is a blend of four Grand Cru villages: Chardonnay comes from Avize, Chouilly and Le Mesnil sur Oger, while Pinot noir comes from the Grand Cru of Ambonnay. It is made in a traditional way without reserve wine and 14% of the mixture is fermented in oak barrels, where the wine opens with a clear, fresh and subtle bouquet of white fruits with citrus flavors that indicate the freshness and finesse of Chardonnay. It remains a minimum of 8 years maturing in the House's cellars. Offering an unforgettable tasting experience, this cuvée is a reflection of the close cooperation between Carol Duval-Leroy, president of the house, and Sandrine Logette-Jardin, its chief winemaker. Both are women of passionate and generous but demanding nature, and their personality is fully expressed in the production of this exceptional Champagne.
