Description
PREPARATION
Grapes: Chardonnay and Pinot Noir.
The very good weather conditions in 2002 allowed us to reach excellent stages of maturity. Harvested in mid-September, the grapes were rich in sugar and had good acidity. Duval-Leroy Femme de Champagne Grand Cru 2002 is made with 95% Chardonnay Grand Cru from the terroirs of Avize, Le Mesnil-sur-Oger and Cramant and 5% Pinot Noir Grand Cru from Ambonnay completes the blend. 20% of the wines are vinified in oak barrels to provide an elegant and silky structure. 50% of the mixture is aged on lees. This is a Brut Nature Champagne, which is defined by the absence of sugar, which gives it great aromatic freshness.
TASTING
View: Golden, luminous color, with fine bubbles.
Nose: Floral and fruity.
Mouth: Large, generous and elegant, flavors of ripe fruit.
