Description
PREPARATION
The The Balvenie Triple Cask 16 whiskey is made up of 16-year-old single malt whiskeys that have matured in the three most traditional types of barrels from The Balvenie house: first-fill Bourbon, which gives it maturity and smoothness, Bourbon where whiskey was previously aged, which adds those delicious vanilla tones, and sherry casks, which give the drink the Notes of sweet spices and dried fruits. Before bottling, these three types of whiskeys are mixed in a large wooden container known as a wedding vat for a period of 6 months; This process is known as "marrying tun".
At The Balvenie they remain faithful to artisanal production, making whiskey as they always have. Their artisans have a deep knowledge of their materials and a desire to make the best whiskey possible. Their process is a combination of experience, skill and ambition that gives The Balvenie its unique character.
