PREPARATION
The Balvenie Triple Cask 12 is made with 12-year-old single malt whiskeys that have matured in the three most traditional types of barrels from The Balvenie house: first-fill Bourbon, which gives it maturity and smoothness, Bourbon where whiskey was previously aged, which adds those delicious vanilla tones, and sherry casks, which give the drink notes of sweet spices and nuts. Before bottling, these three types of whiskeys are mixed in a large wooden container known as a wedding vat for a period of 6 months; This process is known as “marrying tun.” At The Balvenie they remain faithful to artisanal production, making whiskey as they always have. Their artisans have a deep knowledge of their materials and a desire to make the best whiskey possible. Their process is a combination of experience, skill and ambition that gives The Balvenie its unique character.
TASTING

Nose: Soft and sweet with elegant layers of honeycomb and spices.
Mouth: Notes of dried fruits and oak combine with vanilla and cinnamon. Warm and soft finish.
