PREPARATION
Ballantine’s was first created in 1827 by George Ballantine, a Scottish businessman who followed his own path in life and was driven to produce the ultimate blended whiskey of the highest quality. By 1884, Ballantine had 20,000 gallons of blended stock, so he began allowing the malts to age. Over the years, a more discerning flavor was created, one that would make an exceptional mixer. Ballantine’s Finest was born. Every drop of Ballantine's is produced in Scotland, technically blended and bottled in Dumbarton, using a unique selection of single malt and grain whiskeys from Scotland's four whiskey regions - Speyside, Islay, the Highlands and the Lowlands - carefully chosen by the master blender and brought together to create the ultimate balanced blend. At Ballantine's Finest, whiskeys with a minimum age of 3 years are used, although the majority of employees are much older.
TASTING
View: Light gold color.
Nose: Soft and elegant aroma with notes of honey and a touch of spices.
Mouth: Balance of sweet and subtle flavors such as milk chocolate, red apple and vanilla. Fresh and floral aftertaste that creates a rounded shine.
