Ardbeg An Oa 1L. Case
An Oa is named after the Mull of Oa in south-west Islay, which offers the Kildaton coast (where the Ardbeg distillery is located) some protection from the worst the Atlantic has to offer. As such, An Oa aims to show a more accessible side to Ardbeg's single malt that is as rounded as Peninsular Oa, without losing the distillery's signature style. Ardbeg is known in the whiskey world as the greatest exponent of Islay malt. It is the most peated and smoky of all Islay malts, but it is also the most balanced. It is not limited to being a single dimension peated malt. On the contrary, it balances smokiness and sweetness for a broader flavor complexity.
