Description
PREPARATION
Amrut uses malted barley dried under smoked peat from Scotland. However, it undergoes its maturation process in southern India, in the Karnataka region, where this whiskey benefits from a tropical climate. Amrut Double Cask uses a mix of ex-bourbon and American oak port barrels. These barrels add sweetness and smoothness to this whiskey.
TASTING
View: It has a bright amber color.
Nose:
Rich and honeyed profile. Vanilla and cream pie. Quite floral and fruity: pineapple, pink grapefruit, banana, caramelized apples and apple pie. Hints of sweet oak and barley.
Mouth:
A fusion of tropical fruits with notes of lime. Again, a layer of subtly spiced vanilla. Long and fruity finish. Delicate oak with cinnamon and very light pepper
