The Extreme Shiraz glass shape was developed between 1993-1995 following sensory workshops in the main Shiraz producing regions, and has become the most versatile red wine shape. Riedel's Extreme glasses derive their name from their extreme contours. The bowls are reminiscent of polished diamonds that spread widely and narrow at the top. This allows the wine plenty of room to breathe, enhancing and emphasizing the pleasant softness and generally fruity notes of the wines. The edges are "cut", allowing the wine to flow smoothly onto the tongue rather than being "rolled", which obstructs the smooth flow of the wine and accentuates the acidity and harshness.
Care:- Dishwasher safe.
- To avoid stains: Use soft water (low in minerals).
- To avoid scratches: Avoid contact of the glass with other glass or metals. If possible, use a glass rack.
- To remove stains: Use white vinegar.
- If you wash by hand: Use warm water, detergent and rinse carefully.
- To polish, use microfiber cloths.
- Storage: Avoid storing glass in kitchen cabinets that have strong aromas that carry over to the glass.
