PREPARATION
100 Pipers is made from a unique blend of malt and grains selected from the different regions where the best Scotch whiskeys come from. It is named after the Scottish tradition of pipers accompanying soldiers into battle: in particular, from "The Ballad of the Hundred Pipers", which tells the story of Bonny Prince Charlie leading 100 pipers in the 1745 uprisings. It is the No.1 blended Scotch whiskey in India. Created in 1965 by Chivas Brothers master blender Alan Baillie, it is a sweet, complex and rounded blend with a fruity nose and a delicate honey flavor. It is made with some of the best malts from the Speyside region that have been matured in carefully selected top quality casks.
TASTING
View: Intense golden color.
Nose: Subtle oak fragrance with notes of caramel, nuttiness and light smokiness.
Mouth: Sweet, complex and round, with a delicate honey flavor and medium, soft body.
